Do You Know The Causes Of Cancer

There are basically four areas that can be linked to the causes of cancer.

According to the US Department of Health two thirds of cancer cases are linked to environment causes of cancer.

One third of cancer is caused by tobacco products, and 20 to 30% of major cancer cases are associated with obesity and physical inactivity.

Environmental Factors including life choices are:

  • Cigarette smoking
  • Excessive alcohol consumption
  • Poor diet
  • Lack of exercise
  • Excessive sunlight exposure
  • Sexual behavior, exposure to certain viruses
  • Medical drugs
  • Hormones
  • Radiation
  • Viruses
  • Bacteria

Environmental chemicals are present in the air, water, food and workplace.

Another one of the causes of cancer can be linked to heredity. Some people inherit altered genes in the body’s cells, also abnormal hormone levels in the bloodstream or a weakened immune system. This accounts for 2 to 5% of all cancers.

Exposure to cancer causing substances is only part of what determines who will get cancer. Environmental factors such as sunlight, viruses and chemicals interact with our cells throughout our lives.

Mechanisms to repair damage to your genes, healthy life style choices such as eating fruits and vegetables in your diet, plus exercising help to protect you from harmful exposures.

Due to the complex interplay of many factors, it is not possible to predict whether a specific environmental exposure will cause a particular person to develop cancer.

Certain genetic and environmental factors can be listed in the causes of cancer, or at least increase the risk of developing cancer, but it is not known exactly which combination of factors is responsible for a specific cancer.

Some Of The Carcinogens in the Environment Linked To Causes of Cancer.

Tobacco – causes one third of all cancer deaths in the U.S. each year which includes cigarettes, cigars, pipe smoking, chewing tobacco, snuff and second hand smoke. Cigarette smoke contains more than 100 cancer causing substances.

Diet/Weight/Physical Inactivity – several studies showed that heavy consumptions of red and preserved meat, salt-preserved foods and salt probably increases the risk of colorectal and stomach cancers.

Physical inactivity and obesity accounts for 25 to 30% of cases of several major cancers such as breast, colon, endometrial, kidney and cancer of the esophagus.

Alcoholic Drinks – heavy drinkers more than 2 drinks a day have an increased risk of cancer, especially those who smoke.

Ultra Violet Radiation – from the sun, sunlamps or tanning beds causes premature aging of the skin and DNA damage that can lead to melanoma and other forms of skin cancer.

Viruses and Bacteria – such as sexually transmitted virus called human papilloma virus (HPV) is primary as one of the causes of cancer (cervical and anal).

Hepatitis B (HBV) and Hepatitis C (HCV) viral infections are major causes of cancer of the liver.

Ionizing Radiation – invisible high frequency radiation can damage DNA or genes inside the body. Exposure to ionizing radiation can occur during certain medical procedures such as in the treatment of cancer which place those persons at risk, and through x-rays.

In childhood many persons were treated with radiation for acne, ringworm and other head and neck condition. This treatment also poses a risk for thyroid cancer and other tumors of the head and neck.

Some home have elevated levels of Radon – a naturally occurring radioactive gas found at low levels in most soil. Radon is produced by the breakdown of uranium which increases low levels of ionizing radiation. Almost 20,000 lung cancer deaths every year are caused by radon exposure.

Pesticides – In the US the following pesticides have been banned or restricted.

  • Ethylene oxide
  • Amitrol chlorophemoxy herbicides
  • DDT
  • Dimethylhydrozine
  • Hexachlorobenzine
  • Hexamethylphosphoramide
  • Chlordecone
  • Lead acetate
  • Lindane
  • Mirex nitrofen
  • Toxaphene

Studies of people with high exposure to pesticides such as farmers have found high rates of blood and lymphatic cancers.

Medical drugs – some to treat cancer such as cyclophosphamide, chlorambucil, melphalon have been shown as one of the causes of cancer as it increases occurrence of second cancers.

Estrogens has increased incidence of endometrial cancer. Tamoxifen which is used to prevent recurrence of breast cancer after surgery has also shown increased risk of endometrial cancer as well as increased risk of stroke and blood clots.

Solvents – as used in paint thinners, paint and grease removers and in dry cleaning include benzene, carbon tetrachloride, chloroform, dichloromethane (methylene chloride)

Benzene is known to cause leukemia in humans. One half of this exposure in the U.S. is from cigarette smoking, from industrial sources and benzene in gasoline.

Fibers, Fine Particles and Dust are everywhere especially in industrial settings. Asbestos fibers and all commercial forms of asbestos are human carcinogens. Asbestos fibers comes from 5000 asbestos products including roofing, thermal, electrical insulation, cement pipe and sheets, flooring, gaskets, plastics, textile and paper products.

Even though the use of asbestos has been greatly reduced in the U.S. the entire population may have been exposed to some degree because it was so widely used.

Dioxins – unwanted by products of chemical processes that contain chlorine and hydrocarbons. At least 100 kinds of dioxins produced by paper and pulp bleaching, incineration of municipal, toxic and hospital wastes, certain electrical fires and smelters where metal is extracted from ores. They are a contaminant in some insecticides, herbicides and wood preservatives.

A particular dioxin – TCDD is highly carcinogenic in animals. The general population is exposed to low levels of TCDD primarily from eating dairy products, fish and meat including poultry.

Polycyclic Aromatic Hydrocarbons (PAHs) – PAHs is air are produced by burning wood and fuel from homes. They are also contained in gasoline and diesel exhaust, soot, coke, cigar and cigarette smoke and charcoal broiled foods. Foods that contain a small amount of PAHs include smoked, barbecued or charcoal-broiled foods, roasted coffees, and sausages.

Metals – Arsenic compounds can be found in drinking water. It is also used is wood preservatives, glass, herbicides (ant killers) and pesticides, and is a general contaminant of air, food and water.

Beryllium compounds are used in metals for aerospace and defense industries, for electrical components, x-ray tubes, nuclear weapons, aircraft brakes, rocket fuel additives, light aircraft construction, manufacture of ceramics, an additive to glass and plastics, dental applications, and golf clubs.

Cadmium Metal and Compounds – are used to coat metals to prevent corrosion. Other used are in plastics and synthetic products, in batteries, as stabilizers for polyvinyl chloride and in fungicides.

Industrial processes involved in making these products release cadmium in to the air, surface water, groundwater and top soil. Food is the main source of human exposure to cadmium for non-smokers.

Some Chromium Compounds can cause lung cancer. It is widely distributed into the air, water, soil and food. The entire population is probably exposed to some of these compounds.

Lead Acetate and Lead Phosphate can lead to kidney and brain tumors. It is used in cotton dyes, coating for metals, drier in paints, varnishes and pigment inks, colorant in certain permanent hair dyes, in explosives and is also used as a stabilizer in certain plastics and specialty glass.

Nickel and nickel compounds - are used in steel, dental fillings, copper and brass, permanent magnets, storage batteries, and glazes. It is present in air, water, soil, food and consumer products in the US. You are exposed through eating, breathing and through skin contact.

Diesel Exhaust Particles

Toxins from fungi – Aflatoxins are cancer causing substances produced by certain types of fungi growing on food. Grain and peanuts are the most common foods. Meat, eggs, and milk from animals that eat aflatoxin-contaminated feed are other sources of exposure.

Vinyl Chloride – is a colorless gas that is used exclusively in the U.S. by the plastics industry in manufacturing containers, wrapping film, electrical insulation, water and drain pipes, hosing, flooring, windows and credit cards. People living near a plastics plant are exposed by breathing contaminated air.

Lastly, Benzidine – is used in dyes for textiles, paper and leather products.

Emotional Toxins And Stress Can Also Be Linked To Causes Of Cancer

In my opinion, emotional toxins produced by constant anger, resentment, jealousy, envy, abuse and stress can also be linked to causing cancer. These heavy and toxic emotions can cause an imbalance within the cells in your body that can lead to cancer and other various illnesses.

To find out how you can release toxic emotions within yourself, go to online spiritual counseling.

It is important to be aware of all the toxins within your environment, the food you eat and also what you are carrying on an emotional level, and then make the lifestyle choices that will enhance your emotional well-being and health and help to keep you cancer free.

Due to my ability of hearing voices, I had many conversations with God and my spiritual guides. You can find out what God says about cancer during one of my conversations with Him at what causes cancer.
