Preparation for Color Therapy Meditation

Chakra Stones

Once you know the colors associated with each chakra, start to feel the particular area of your body that is giving you problems and then visualize the color involved.

You are basically healing your body with color that you visualize. This is a type of healing color therapy. Once you have done this, it is time to start your color therapy meditation.

  • Find a comfortable place, and position yourself either lying down or sitting.
  • Close your eyes, concentrate on your breathing and breathe slowly and deeply from your diaphragm (just below your solar plexus).
  • Breathe in through your nose and hold it for a couple of seconds and then let the air out slowly through your mouth.
  • Continue breathing slowly and as you do so, make a mental scan of your body starting from your toes and working upwards feeling and letting go of any tense muscles in your body.
  • If you cannot feel the tension, tense each muscle group and then relax them breathing out the tension as you go over each area of your body. This is a method of releasing the stress in your body.

    Visualize Color Entering Your Body

    • While doing the color therapy meditation, imagine the color that you are working with and breathe it into your lungs.
    • As you do that slowly visualize the color filling and encircling the area that you are working on. Visualize the color filling the area completely. Once you can see the color clearly, visualize all the stress releasing from that area as you breathe out. See the dark energy coming up and out of your lungs in the divine light out of your space. You don’t want to pollute the environment with this dark energy.
    • Keep repeating the slow and deep breathing until all the dense and greyish cloud from the area of your body is released. If there are other areas of your body that you feel you need to work on, do so in the same manner for as long as it takes.
    • When you have finished working on your body, breathe in divine white light and exhale any negative energy that may remain. You are now finished the color therapy meditation. Slowly open your eyes and feel the difference.
