Each of us has many guides and spiritual mentors that assist us on our spiritual journey through life. As we ascend and mature spiritually, we are given new mentors who help us in the stage where we are at. The older mentors are still there for us if we need to contact them, but it is advised that we communicate with the new one.
My guide Matoowah has not been with me for some time now. I personally had a difficult with her departure. Then there was Abraham and now I have been working with Telos since April 2010. I know it can be difficult to let a guide go, but it is all a part of life. Just as we outgrow certain friendships, it also happens with our guides and mentors.
The fact that the candles were unlit in your dream signifies that your mentor has completed his work with you.
Now, you need to find out who is your new mentor or spiritual guide. You can ask that the information is given to you in a dream or vision or you can use a pendulum.
