Drinking Water and Weight Loss
Drinking water and weight loss go together as water is a great filtering agent for your body.
Since water constitutes over two thirds of our body, it is important to realize that water is a natural medicine that benefits our entire body. It is unfortunate that we take it for granted, and that we are not more vigilant about our natural lakes and rivers. Because of hearing voices, I heard God say during one of our conversations, Because of man’s greed, resources are being dwindled, the animal and fish populations are slowly being destroyed. This is taken from
Spiritual health.
Back to our topic – drinking water and weight loss - if you think about it, you will realize that if you want to flush toxins out of your system, you will need to drink more water and that is important to any weight loss program.
Dehydration Can Lead To Disease
Your body cannot function properly without enough water. To find out the important benefits of drinking water for your body, go to
benefits of drinking water daily.
This is the reason that dehydration is a factor in illnesses such as arthritis, asthma and ulcers. It can also be fatal. If you ignore your body’s signal for thirst you make drinking water and weight loss more difficult plus it will affect the health of your body. You need to start listening to your body and it’s needs.
We have been told many times that we should drink about 6 to 8 eight ounce glasses of water daily. I believe that we need to listen to our body’s thirst signal and then drink water. If your mouth and lips are already dry, you are dehydrated and need water immediately.
You also need to take your body size into consideration. Eight 8-ounce glasses of water or 2 quarts is not enough for the over-weight person. A larger body has a greater metabolic load which means that he or she will need more water to perform the same functions as a thinner person.
A heavier person will need about one additional glass of water for every 25 pounds of weight. Dr. Donald S. Robertson suggests that for weight loss one should drink 1 quart of water over approximately 30 minutes in the morning, at noon and between five and six o’clock.
