Heard my name

I have never experienced this before. I've seen and felt things, but NEVER heard anything.

On the one year anniversary of my father's passing, I woke up at 4 in the morning to use the bathroom. When getting back into bed, I heard a sound behind me "Spssss". Thinking it was one of the kids I turned around, but no one was there.

I didn't hear anything again until last night. I woke up at 2:58am to use the bathroom. While in there, I heard someone (a man's voice) say my name through the bathroom door.

Thinking it was my boyfriend, I answered, "Yeah", but got nothing.

Then I said, "Yeah, what's wrong?", and again nothing.

I opened the door and no one was there. I went into the room where my boyfriend was and asked (he was awake) if he had just called me and he said, "No, why, did you hear someone call your name?"

I replied, "Yes".

I asked him 5 times and he denied it every time. (He's not the type to continue on with a joke like that if he did do it.)

Then he said that it may have been one of the kids because he was awoken out of a dead sleep by the 6 year old screaming, but when he checked on him, he was sound asleep.

It was a man's voice (which sounded like my boyfriend or at least I thought so), not a child's. What could this have been?
