We constantly hear the word 'karma' in conversations; karma meaning what?
Someone may be describing an accident or a terrible incident that has happened in his or her life. Then in the next sentence you hear, "I must have been a terrible person in a past life", or "I guess it's my karma."
Many people use the term 'karma' meaning what exactly? To explain bad things that have happened to them? According to Wikipedia, the definition of karma is the concept of "action" or "deed". So it refers to positive and negative experiences.
During a conversation that I had with the Higher Power the other day concerning karma, I was told that one's karma is the sum of each person's actions- this life and past lives.
Repetition from Past Lives
Now some of you may not believe the concept of having lived many life times. If that is the case, you may not understand why certain situations are repeated over and over.
Plus certain people are in your life at this time to resolve a past life issue that has left negative residues and emotions within yourself.
I think that the main issue here is to be aware of one's actions towards others, because you are
creating karma
and to follow the principle of treating others as you would like to be treated. In other words, if you do bad things to others, what goes around comes around. When you use force with anything, you have a reaction.
So anger begets anger, love begets love. I know this sounds simplistic. But if you remember chemistry, like attracts like and negativity repels. It's all very basic. So 'love thy neighbor' and 'do unto others as you would have them do unto you.'
Then you will not be worrying about what type of karma you are creating because it will not be an issue.
