Why Does My Pendulum Give Me Untrue Answers?

I have asked my pendulum questions and it has given me "yes" answers only to discover that what I asked didn't happen.

I'm not trusting my pendulum, however I believe there maybe a simple reason why this is happening.

I have a lot of emotion around me at the moment concerning a love interest as well as other problems in my life, but when asking the question I have always been quite clear in what I'm asking.
