Why Does My Pendulum Keep Spinning?

I asked my pendulum a question and the response was "no". When I said thank you, it did not stop spinning. I had to move my hand to stop it.

A few hours later, I asked it to show me my "yes", it did I said thank you and it stopped spinning. I asked it to show me my "no" again, and when it did I said thank you, but it kept spinning.

Both of my pendulums did this, why?
