Lost souls which people refer to as ghosts are carrying negative energy and you do not want them around you as you can pick up their negative energy, and they can cause havoc in your life if you let them.
Regarding answers from your pendulum: There are no "right" or "wrong" answers. It is the user who puts the judgment of right or wrong on the answers.
And your thoughts can influence the answer from the pendulum. You need to be grounded and have a clear mind with no thoughts ? meaning you need to be objective in order to receive the answers. Whatever is in your mind, especially the answer that you would like to have, will influence the pendulum.
